13. If the fan cage was removed, do the following:
a. Make sure that all the system cables that are routed through the front cable channel are properly secured in the
metal cable tabs. This is done to prevent system damage due to cables being inadvertently caught under the fan
cage.
16. Do one of the following:
Position the tower server for operation.
• Server in rack mode:
Slide the server into the rack.
17. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
18. Connect each power cord to the server.
19. Connect each power cord to the power source.
21. Configure the storage controller.
The installation is complete.
Installing the AROC cover and cushion
The AROC cover and cushion protect the controller board from vibration damage that might occur during server
shipment. The AROC cover is intended for a debug connector that might not be present in all modular controller models.
Procedure
1. Remove the protective film from the cushion.
2. Align one end of the cushion to the edge of the heatsink, and then press the cushion down to attach it.
3. For modular controllers with a debug connector, install the rubber cover over the connector.
