Place the base plate (2) on the surface for the heating bath (1) into the provided rail,
so that the heating bath cannot tilt.

Place the heating bath into the rails by its feet. Be careful that the heating bath
connection points to the right rear.
Filling heating bath
The heating bath can be fi lled with various heat transfer fl uids.
Do not use de-ionized or distilled water.
The minimum-/maximum specifi cations in the heating bath refer to the
liquid level when the evaporator fl ask is immersed.
1. Select a liquid suitable for your application, such as tap water, water-soluble polyeth-
ylene glycol or oil of a lower viscosity (40 cP) and fl ash point (observe the Safety
Data Sheet)> 260 °C.

Immerse the evaporator fl ask.
3. Fill the heating bath with the media of choice. The level should be within the
minimum and the maximum marking in the heating bath.
Offsetting heating bath
It will be necessary to expand the distance of the heating bath to the drive unit when
using large evaporator fl asks or intermediate pieces between evaporator fl asks and the
vapor tube, such as bump fl asks or foam brake fl asks.

Shift the heating bath including the base plate by the handle on the rail and position
accordingly (Figure 4-2).
