Front 8SFF NVMe drive cabling
For the 8SFF NVMe drive configuration, you must install two 4-port NVMe SSD expander modules in
PCIe slots 1 and 2 or one 8-port NVMe SSD expander module in PCIe slot 1.
Use Table 8-7 to determine the front drive cabling method depending on the type of the NVMe SSD
expander module.

When connecting NVMe data cables, make sure you connect the peer ports with the correct NVMe
data cable. For 4-port and 8-port NVMe SSD expander modules, use

respectively, to determine the ports to be connected and the cable to use.
