4.5 Configuring Relays
(A, B, C, and D)
SET PARAMETER
(representation)
The analyzer is equipped with four electromechanical relays
(A, B, C, and D). Each relay can be set to function as a
CONTROL, ALARM or STATUS relay. For details on each
relay function, see subsection “SET FUNCTION Mode.”
During normal measurement operation, CONTROL and
ALARM relays can be held at their present on/off states:
•
For up to 30 minutes by selecting the “HOLD
OUTPUTS” line in the TEST/MAINT menu and
pressing the
ENTER key
.
•
For an indefinite period by locally or remotely
connecting the TTL input Terminals 9 and 10 on TB1.
If a TEST/MAINT hold is applied in addition to a TTL hold,
both “holds” must be removed before CONTROL and
ALARM relays return to active status.
These instructions configure Relay A. Configure other
relays in the same way using their respective menu
screens.
The number of sensors used determines the number of
available choices. Each CONTROL or ALARM relay can be
assigned to operate using one of these measurements:
•
FLOW A (Sensor A flow rate)
•
VOLUME B (Sensor B volume)
•
FLOW B (Sensor B flow rate)
•
VOLUME C (Sensor C volume)
•
FLOW C (Sensor C flow rate)
•
VOLUME D (Sensor D volume)
•
FLOW D (Sensor D flow rate)
•
CALCULATION*
•
VOLUME A (Sensor A volume)
*A relay can only use the calculated measurement for its operation when two sensors
are used and the analyzer has been correctly configured for CALCULATION.
