Inspect the Tires, Wheels and
Lug Nut Torque
Note: Genie specifications require that this
procedure be performed every 250 hours or
quarterly, whichever comes first.
Maintaining the tires and wheels, including proper
wheel fastener torque, is essential to safe
operation and good performance. Tire and/or
wheel failure could result in a machine tip-over.
Component damage may also result if problems
are not discovered and repaired in a timely fashion.
1 Check the tire surface and sidewalls for cuts,
cracks and unusual wear.
2 Check each wheel for damage, bends and
cracks.
3 Check each lug nut for proper torque. Refer to
Section 2,
Specifications.
B-5
Confirm the Proper
Brake Configuration
Note: Genie specifications require that this
procedure be performed every 250 hours or
quarterly, whichever comes first.
Proper brake configuration is essential to safe
operation and good machine performance.
Hydraulically-released, spring-applied individual
wheel brakes can appear to operate normally when
they are actually not fully operational.
1 Check each drive hub disconnect cap to be
sure it is in the engaged position.
