Bottom Cover
The following procedures describe how to remove and replace the bottom cover.
Removing the Bottom Cover
Use the following procedure to remove the bottom cover.
1. Before beginning any steps, follow the instructions in “Preparing the System for
FRU Replacement” on page 73 .
2. Remove the top cover assembly.
See “Removing the Top Cover Assembly” on page 75 for more information.
3. Remove the power supply assembly.
See step 3 through step 6 in “Removing the Power Supply Assembly” on page
91 for instructions.
4. If it is installed, remove the KISS pump and tubing.
See step 2 through step 5 in “Removing the KISS Pump Assembly” on page 126
for instructions.
5. Detach the chassis from the bottom cover.
See step 5 through step 8 in “Detaching the Chassis” on page 82 for instructions.
6. Remove the printer module assembly.
See step 4 through step 5 in “Removing the Printer Module Assembly” on page
94 for instructions.
7. Remove the printer door.
See step 6 through step 10 in “Printer Door” on page 103 for instructions.
8. Remove the power inlet module.
See step 4 through step 5 in “Removing the Power Inlet Module” on page 93 for
instructions.
9. Remove the four M3x5 fasteners securing the side and rear paper spacers to the
bottom cover, identified in the following photograph, and remove the spacers.
The bottom cover has now been successfully removed from the device and is
ready to be replaced.
