Power Supply

The following procedures describe how to remove and replace the power supply.

Removing the Power Supply Assembly

Use the following procedure to remove the power supply assembly.

Before beginning any steps, follow the instructions in

“Preparing the System for

FRU Replacement” on page 73

Remove the top cover assembly, if it is has not been removed already.

See

“Removing the Top Cover Assembly” on page 75

for more information.

Remove the fastener securing the ground to the PWA, as shown in the following
photograph.

Remove the power supply harness from the PWA, as shown in the following
photograph.

Remove the four (4) screws securing the power supply assembly to its base, as
shown in the following photograph.

Lift the power supply assembly from its base.
