Section 5.0 - Detector Calibration
You are required to do the following:
1.) In Detector calibration/QAP process, system will evaluate Quality Check. To save time and
make QC check pass, firstly make exposure to take an image before calibration with
SID=150cm/80KV/50mA/5mAs, use ring tool to check if 4 corners’ mean value of raw image
are between 8000~12000, better around 10000. If not, need adjust mAs or mA to make mean
value of raw image is between 8000~12000, then keep SID/KV/mAs/mA as same, then QC
check will pass during performing detector calibration and QAP. Note need reboot system after
detector calibration, then do QAP.
2.) It may be necessary to place the detector on the floor to achieve 150cm SID.
3.) Orient the detector with the triangle silk-print on the 17’ side to the back of the table (as if it
were loaded into the table bucky from triangle arrow direction).
4.) Detent the tube to center of the detector.
5.) Fully open collimator blades. If collimator is not fully opened, the QC check will be failed.
6.) Press prepare button to let detector enter auto-sensing status. When making exposure, need
press exposure switch only after countdown timer starts.
7.) Follow the on-screen instructions as presented by the tool.
