II. Handling on sloping ground
Slopes and bumpy terrain are the cause of most loss of control and rollover accidents, which can determine severe injury or death. ALL slopes
require extra attention. If you cannot reverse on a slope or feel embarrassed, do not mow it. See the Slope Mowing Guide at the end of this manual
for safe handling.

1. Mow the slopes in a top-down, not crosswise, movement.
2. Remove all obstacles such as rocks, branches, etc.
3. Watch for holes, ruts and bumps. Uneven terrain can cause the unit to tip over. Tall grass can hide obstacles.
4. Slow down. Use slow speed in order not to have to stop or move when mowing on a slope.
5. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for wheel and counterweight steering to improve stability.
6. Pay special attention to the grass catcher systems or other accessories, they can destabilize the unit.
7. When mowing on a slope, make slow, gradual movements. Do not suddenly change speed or direction.
8. Avoid starting or stopping on a slope. If the tires lose grip, stop the blades and slowly descend the slope.
9. Work under a good visibility. Work under daylight or good artificial light.

III. Children
Tragic accidents can occur if the user is not aware of the presence of children. children are often
attracted by this type of equipment, as well as by the movement of the mower. NEVER assume that children will remain still at
the place where you have seen them for the last time.
1. Keep children away from the work area and under the supervision of a responsible adult.
2. Be vigilant and turn off the appliance if a child enters the work area.
3. Before and during reversing, look behind and on the ground to avoid small children.
4. Never carry children or other passengers, even with the blades at a standstill. They can fall and cause serious injury or compromise safe handling.
5. Never allow a child to handle the device. Make children aware of the potential dangers of the device.
6. Be especially careful when approaching blind corners, shrubs, trees or other objects that may obscure vision.
IV. MAINTENANCE
1. Pay special attention when handling fuel or other fuels. Fuels are flammable and their fumes explosive.
a. Use only an approved container.
b. Never remove the fuel cap or add fuel while the engine is running. Let the unit cool down for several minutes before refuelling. Don't smoke.
c. Never refuel indoors.
d. Never store the unit with a full tank, or a fuel tank, close to flames produced, for example, by a water heater.
2. Never operate the unit in an enclosed area.
3. Keep all nuts and bolts, especially those that secure the blade, firmly adjusted. Regularly check the blade for damage, cracks or nicks. A bent or damaged
blade should immediately be replaced with an original spare part supplied by an authorized dealer. For your safety, replace the blade every two years.
Maintain the equipment in good condition.
4. Never tamper with safety instruments. Check regularly that they are working properly.
5. To reduce the risk of fire, clear grass, leaves and other debris from the unit. Clean up oil or fuel leaks. Let the unit to cool down before storing it.
6. Stop and inspect the unit in the event of a collision with a foreign object. Repair if needed before restarting.
7. Never adjust or repair while the engine is running. The carburettor can be adjusted while the engine is running. Do not change the rudder configuration or
force the engine.
8. The components of the grass catcher system are subject to wear, damage and deterioration, which can expose moving parts or cause objects to be thrown.
When storing, make sure that the grass catcher system is empty. Examine its components regularly and replace with spare parts recommended by the
manufacturer if needed.
9. The mower blade(s) are sharpened and can cut. Wrap the blade(s) or wear gloves and pay particular attention when maintaining or storing them.
10. Check the brake regularly for proper operation. Adjust and have repaired consistently.
11. Wait until the unit has stopped completely before repairing any of its components.
