USE OF THE
ACCELERATOR/STARTER CONTROL
Use the accelerator/starter control to start the unit when cold and
increase or decrease the engine speed (Figure 5).
1. Slide the accelerator/starter control forward to the STARTER
position to start a cold engine.
2. The QUICK position is indicated by a ratchet. In order to operate
normally and when using a grass catcher system, set the
accelerator control to the FAST position. Handle the unit in FAST
position to charge the battery to maximum and cool the engine.
3. The rudder is factory configured for maximum performance. Do not
adjust the rudder to increase engine speed.

USE OF THE
BLADE ROTATION CONTROL
Use this control to engage the blade (Figure 6).
1. Before starting the engine, make sure that the blade rotation control
is in the CLUTCH LEVER position.
2. To rotate the blade, slide the blade rotation control forward to lock it
in CLUTCH position.
3. In order to stop the blade, set the blade rotation control to the
CLUTCH LEVER position. Before leaving the unit, make sure that
the blade has stopped rotating.
4. Before handling the unit on a sidewalk or road, set the blade rotation
control to the CLUTCH LEVER position.
CAUTION: always keep hands and feet away from the
blade, baffle opening and mower frame when the engine
is running.
OPERATION
USE OF GEAR SHIFTING
To change the speed of the unit or change direction, follow the steps
below:
