OPERATION
FRAME OPERATION
CAUTION: the mulching system cover is a safety system.
Do not remove it. The baffle directs the discharged
material to the ground. Always keep the baffle in low
position. If the baffle is damaged, replace it with the
original spare part from an Authorized Service Centre.
4. Gently move the blade rotation control to the CLUTCH LEVER
position.
5. Fully press the clutch/brake pedal.
6. Set the gearshift to the desired mode.
NOTE: If you mow thick grass or use the
grass catching system, reduce speed.
7. Gently release the clutch/brake pedal.
8. Move the accelerator control to the FAST position. If you need to go
faster or slower, stop the unit and change gears.
9. Ensure that the cutting level remains suitable. After mowing a small
area, examine the work area. If the frame does not mow in levelled
mode, see the instructions for "Levelling the Mower Frame" in the
Maintenance section.
IMPORTANT: when handling with the frame, always maintain
control of the accelerator in the FAST position.
1. Start the engine.
2. Pull the pull lever to the desired cutting level. If the grass is high or
thick, mow it at the highest height first, then lower the frame to a lower
height.
CAUTION: Do not work with the frame in the LEVEL ADJUSTMENT
position, as the frame and blades may be damaged.
3. Set the accelerator control to the SLOW position.
CAUTION: in order to better control the unit, always select
a safe speed.

MOWING ON SLOPING GROUND
CAUTION: do not work on steep slopes not allowing
reversing easily. Never drive the unit across the slope.
See the "Guide for Mowing on Sloping Ground" for more
information at the end of this Manual.
4. To restart, make sure that the selected speed is the slowest. Move
the accelerator control to the SLOW position. Release the pedal
slowly.
5. If you have to stop or start on a slope, make sure there is enough
space to allow the unit to roll when you release the brake and
engage.
6. Be very careful when changing direction on a slope. When working on
a slope or changing direction, move the accelerator control to the
SLOW position to avoid the risk of an accident.
2. Before handling the mower on a slope, reduce to the slowest speed.
3. Do not stop or change gears on a slope. If you have to stop, quickly
press the clutch/brake pedal and apply the handbrake.
