SERVICE AND REPAIR
Attach a chain connected to a suitable lifting de-
vice, capable of lifting 1600 lbs. (726 kg.) to the
packer panel as shown. Operate the lifting device
to support the weight of the packer panel without
causing strain on the bearing and roller assemblies.
Remove the inside bearing assemblies as described
earlier in this section.
Remove the roller assemblies as described earlier
in this section.
Remove the outside bearing assemblies as de-
scribed earlier in this section.
With the bearing assemblies removed, carefully op-
erate the hoist and lift the packer panel out of the
hopper. Use care to avoid damaging the hopper.

OPERATIONAL STATUS
Truck Off
PTO Disengaged
Carefully inspect all pivot, bearing and roller sur-
faces for excessive or uneven wear, scoring or other
damage.
Check the panel for broken welds, bent edges or
warpage.
Inspect the packer panel edge for damage. Replace
a badly worn edge as described below.
Replace parts as necessary. (See Sec. 4, GEN-
ERAL REPAIR PRACTICES).
