FIRST START-UP
CARD G / FIT
20
V 6.15 E / April 2010
The process air heater is now switched off but the process air continues flowing
until the actual process air temperature reaches 40°C [104°F].
After the heater has been cooled down (message
disappears),
the dryer can be switched off through the main power switch.
To switch off the CARD G FIT always use the keys
. Never use the
main power switch to switch off the CARD G FIT unless in emergency. The main
power switch will switch off the process air soon as it is turned into the OFF
position and the heater will not be safely cooled down.
The FIT-controller will alarm the operator in case of a faulty function through the strobe light.
Alarms will also be indicated through external alarm devices if connected to the optional dry
contact on the CARD G FIT. The actual screen will jump into the F
AULTS
S
CREEN
indicating the
faults one after the other as they have taken place.
See chapter 17.7.3 on page 62 to adjust date and time, if necessary.
Turn the main power switch to the OFF position if the dryer is not going to be used for a longer
period of time. You may, otherwise, continue the start up of accessories or start normal operation
if satisfied with the previous CARD G FIT start up procedures.
Contact
and/or its representative for any question regarding the start up and the
normal operation if you feel unsure before you resume normal operation.
The function of the hopper loader may be adjusted and tested if it is installed and connected to
the CARD G FIT. It is strongly recommended to double check the installation of the hopper loader
before attempting to start up this device. Make sure that the proper electrical power and
compressed air are connected to the device before start up.
Make sure that the wand of the hopper loader is properly inserted in the material
supply container and that sufficient amount of the test material is available in the
container.
See chapter 17.5 on page 53 to set the desired loader parameters. Airjet (AJ) is the
commercial name of venturi type loaders. Parameters for vacuum loaders (HL) are
also included in this chapter.
To start the hopper loader press the keys
