11. PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
If problems persist after having performed the above operations, contact your dealer.

Incorrect starting procedure
Follow the instructions (see chap. 6.3).
No oil or fuel in the engine.
Check the oil and fuel levels (see chap. 7.2.1 / 7.2.2).
Dirty spark plug or incorrect electrode
gap.
Check the spark plug (refer to the engine manual).
Clogged air filter.
Clean and / or replace the filter (Refer to the engine manual).
Carburation fault.
Contact your Authorised Service Centre
The floating device may be blocked.
Refer to the engine manual and contact an Authorised Service
Centre.

Engine flood

ing.
The manual start handgrip has been
operated repeatedly with the starter
engaged.
Refer to the engine manual.
The manual start handgrip has been
operated repeatedly with the spark plug
cap removed.
Insert the spark plug cap and try to start the engine.
(Refer to the engine manual).
3.
The cut grass
is no longer
collected in
the grass
catcher.
The cutting means hit a foreign object.
Stop the engine and remove the spark plug cap. Check for any
damage and contact an authorised service centre (section 7.3.1).
The inner part of the chassis is soiled.
Clean the internal part of the chassis (par. 7.4.2).

Mowing is
difficult.
The cutting means is not in good con

dition
Contact the Authorised Service Centre for the sharpening or re

placement of the cutting means.
5.
Excessive
noise and/
or vibration is
experienced
whilst work

ing.
Damaged or loose parts
The pin on the cutting means is out of
its seat.
Stop the machine and disconnect the spark plug cable (Fig. 23.B).
Check for any damage or loose parts.
All checks, replacements or repairs should be carried out by your
authorised service centre.
Cutting means fittings are loose or the
cutting means is damaged.
Stop the engine and remove the spark plug cap (Fig.23.B).
Contact an authorised service centre (section 7.3.1).
