The S-10G2Xc port option card (
see the following figure
) adds two 10-gigabit SFP+ data ports to the
MSM. These ports operate the same as the ports on the 8900-10G24X-c I/O module.
The ports on the S-10G2Xc port option card do not support 1-gigabit SFP optical modules.

Ports on the option cards operate the same as similar ports on the I/O modules. In the default module
configuration, all ports:
•
Are added to the default VLAN as untagged
•
Inherit the properties of the default VLAN (for example, protocol type and VLANid)
