pppoe set transport password
17.32.1 Syntax
pppoe set transport {<name>|<number>} password <password>
17.32.2 Description
This command sets a dial-out password on a named transport. The password
is required when PPP negotiation takes place and is supplied to the remote
PPP server for authentication.
The username and password can also be set together using one command as
shown in the example below.
17.32.3 Options
The following table gives the range of values for each option which can be
specified with this command and a default value (if applicable).

A number that identifies an existing
PPPoE transport. To display transport
numbers, use the

password
An arbitrary word that acts as a dialout
password enabling you to login to the
remote end. The password will be
required by the PPP server when you
want to login remotely. It can be made
up of one or more characters and/or
digits. To display the password, use
the
pppoe show transport
command.
