13.1
Maintenance tasks
13.1.1 Exterior cleaning
When cleaning the exterior of the measuring device, always use cleaning agents that do not
corrode the surface of the housing or the seals.
Cleaning agents can damage the aluminum housing and the polycarbonate glass

Do not use high-pressure steam.
‣
Only use cleaning agents that are specified as permitted.
Permitted cleaning agents for aluminum housing and polycarbonate glass:
• Mild soap solutions
• Commercially available household cleaners
• Methyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol
13.1.2 Interior cleaning
Risk of damaging the measuring channel

Never clean with water.
‣
Only use cleaning agents that are specified as permitted.
Cleaning
If the density changes during the cleaning process, this means that there is cleaning
agent in the measuring channel.
1. Rinse with permitted cleaning agent.
2. Then dry it out with dry air.
Permitted cleaning agents for interior cleaning
• Isopropyl alcohol (IPA)
• Acetone
• Hexane
13.1.3 Filter cleaning
‣
To avoid clogging, regularly check the filter installed upstream from the device for fouling
and clean or replace the filter depending on the degree of contamination.
