Maintenance and care
The device is mostly maintenance-free. The care and maintenance tasks which can be
performed by the user are limited to the cleaning and disinfection of the housing and
the sample block.
The operator may not undertake any service or maintenance work to this device and its
components other than that specified in these instructions.
Observe the information in the "Safety instructions" section for all maintenance work.
Compliance with the safety instructions is a prerequisite for the error-free operation of
the device. Always observe all warnings and instructions that are displayed on the device
itself or indicated by the control software.
To ensure faultless and safe functioning, Analytik Jena recommends an annual inspec-
tion and servicing by its Service department.
7.1
Calibration
The device is calibrated by the manufacturer before delivery. Provided that you observe
the ambient conditions at the site of installation, the device does not require any tem-
perature validation or temperature calibration after the installation.
7.2
Cleaning the housing

Always switch off the device and disconnect the power plug before performing
maintenance work.
Power to the device is only disconnected by disconnecting the power plug. After the
device is switched off, some parts are still live.

Only leave the device and the software on as the maintenance instructions explicitly
demand.

The device handles biological and biochemical substances that are potentially patho-
genic.

Wear personal protective equipment when handling these substances.

Observe all instructions and specifications in the safety data sheets. Observe na-
tional regulations when handling these substances.

Decontaminate and clean the device after use.

Only wipe the housing with a soft, clean cloth which may be slightly wetted with a
commercially available neutral cleaning agent if necessary.
NOTICE! Alcohol, organic solvents or abrasive agents can damage the paint.
