Test Description
Regulation Tests whether the control unit correctly controls the sample
block.
The test result for each individual test can either be Passed or Error .
While carrying out a self test, you cannot start any other program on the device. Tap
Cancel Self Test to abort a self test while it is running. In this case, the software will not
generate a log file at all or only an incomplete log file.

5.9.4 Creating a service info file for troubleshooting
The service info file is a useful tool that helps the Analytik Jena customer service during
troubleshooting.
} Insert a USB flash drive into the port on the front of the device.

Use the menu option Tools | Service info file File| Info File to USB to save the service
info file to a USB flash drive.
} Save the service info file on a computer. This may take a few minutes. Send an e-
mail to the customer service and attach the file. You will find the contact information
inside the front cover or under
Tools | Contact .
5.9.5 Performing a backup
The backup function allows you to back up the contents of all folders, all programs and
user directories on a USB flash drive.

You can load a backup file at a later point in time to restore lost user directories and
programs.
¡ You can also use the backup file to transfer the stored content to another thermal
cycler (Biometra TOne, Biometra TAdvanced, Biometra TRIO).
This allows synchronizing the content of the memory across different thermal cy-
clers. To be able to synchronize the data, all thermal cyclers must use the same soft-
ware version.
You can use the menu option ToolsBackup to access the page Backup .
You can use the following functions:
