5.1
Using the software (general)
The touch screen display is resistive. You must apply slight pressure to trigger the func-
tion of a particular button. Just slightly touching the display as with the capacitive touch
screen of a smartphone or tablet is not enough.
The software will display an alphanumeric or numeric keypad when selecting an input
field:

The alphanumeric keypad appears for entering texts.

The numeric keypad is displayed for entering numerical values.
Function keys
The keypads contain the following function keys:

Shift
Shift key: Switch to uppercase
Caps
Caps lock key: Permanently switch character case
Space
Space key: Insert a blank space

Move cursor
Delete characters to the left of the cursor
Del
Delete all characters
Tab
Tabulator key: Switch between input fields

Enter infinite as a value (for time input)
For some functions the maximum number of characters is limited. User names, pass-
words and program names can have a maximum of 13 characters, user initials can have
a maximum of 3 characters.
Arrow keys
The software uses lists, tables or graphical representations. Whenever the number of
entries becomes higher than the number that can be displayed on a screen, the software
will show arrow keys for navigation.

Confirm or cancel
On many screens you will have to confirm your entry. This helps the software to prevent
operating errors.
