NOTICE
Keep the original packaging
Transport damage can only be avoided if the device is transported in its original packag-
ing.

Keep the original packaging for transport, e.g., in case the device must be returned
to the manufacturer for repair.
NOTICE
Damage to the electronics due to condensation
Significant temperature differences can lead to the formation of condensation which can
damage the device’s electronics.

After long-term storage or transport in a colder environment, allow the device to ac-
climatize at room temperature for at least one hour before switching it on.

Take the device out of its box and check it for damage. Only start the device when it
is free from defects.

Notify the manufacturer of any damage to the device immediately.
}
Keep the original packaging.

Check the operating voltage set on the voltage selector switch at the device’s bottom.
If required, adjust the operating voltage to the mains voltage.

Use the mains cable supplied with the device to connect it to a grounded electric
socket.

Use the mains switch at the back of the device to switch the device on.

After switching the device on, it will perform an automatic self test.

If you want to connect the thermal cycler to a local network, use the Ethernet port
and the management software Biometra TSuite.
The Biometra TSuite software is used to control the thermal cycler via your com-
puter.

The device is ready for operation.
4.3
Setting the operating voltage

Before putting the device into service, make sure that the voltage selector switch on
the device is set to the correct mains voltage.
You can operate the device at mains voltage ratings of 100 V; 115 V; 230 V ±10 %.
A voltage selector switch at the bottom of the device allows adjusting the device to the
required mains voltage.

Before starting up the device, check the voltage selector switch to verify that the de-
vice is correctly set for the mains voltage.
