1. Fully pull the T-handle out (approximately 7.5 cm (3 in.)) and turn it
(approximately 5 to 20 degrees) clockwise or counterclockwise to
lock it.
NOTE: Do not turn the T-handle many times in the same direc-
tion. The T-handle can be twisted and break.
(h) Continue the waste tank drainage until the waste flow stops.
(i) Flush with water through the RTS rinse valve for approximately 3 min.
(j) Release the T-handle as follows:
1. Turn the T-handle in (approximately 5 to 20 degrees) to unlock it (in
the opposite direction to that used to lock it).
2. Push the T-handle in.
(k) Pull the T-handle out and lock it to open the RTS waste drain valve.
(l) Release the T-handle after all liquid is drained.
(m) Disconnect the lavatory dumping coupling and lavatory filling coupling.
(n) Close the cap of the RTS service panel drain valve and latch the lever.
NOTE: The flapper valve closes automatically when the cap is
closed.
(o) Install the cap on the RTS rinse valve.
(p) Close access door 194FR.
NOTE: The access door closes only if the RTS waste drain valve is
correctly closed.
CAUTION: DO NOT DO THE PRE-CHARGING PROCEDURE ON AIR-
CRAFT PARKED IN COLD WEATHER. THIS COULD CAUSE
DAMAGE TO THE SYSTEM.
CAUTION: THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED PRESSURE FOR THE WASTE
TANK FILLING IS 45 PSI.
(2) Do the pre-charging of the waste system as follows:
NOTE: This pre-charging procedure is applicable to the temperature
condition higher than 0 °C (32 °F). Where there are freezing or
icing conditions, below 0 °C (32 °F) do the specific procedure.
(a) Open access panel 194FR.
(b) Remove the cap from the RTS rinse valve.
(c) Connect the coupling lavatory filling to the RTS rinse valve.
(d) Fill the waste system with the solution prepared in the lavatory servicing
dolly:
1. 3.8 l of water.
2. Add 200 ml of URBAKTOL AF.
(e) If you prefer, you can use DEJET to prepare the solution:
1. 3.95 l of water.
