1. Landing-Gear Safety Pin - Standard Practices
A. General
(1) The landing-gear safety pins must be installed while the aircraft is parked,
during maintenance procedures, and during the towing of the aircraft.
B. Job Set-Up
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS IN A SAFE
CONDITION BEFORE YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE
PROCEDURES. THIS IS TO PREVENT INJURY TO
PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make sure that the landing gear control lever is in the DOWN position.
C. Landing-Gear Safety Pin - Location
(1) Use the landing-gear safety pins to lock the nose and main landing gears
down.
(2) Make sure that personnel can see the red REMOVE-BEFORE-FLIGHT
streamer clearly.
