PURPOSE AND USE: Used to attach the towbar to the aircraft NLG for towing.

2. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
A. Features:
- Torsional and tension/compression shear protection: a shear pin breaks in
case of tension/compression overload.
- Attachment safety: a safety bolt keeps the towbar head attached to the tow-
bar so as to maintain aircraft control and avoid unintentional free move-
ments.
B. Specifications:
- Tension/Compression Shear Load: 12,000 N (2,698 lb)
- Torsional (radial) Shear Moment: 1,200 N.m (10,620 lb.in)
