cleaning agent (Solvent per MIL-PRF-680 Type I or equivalent).
(1) To clean the seat cover and the curtains without their removal, do as fol-
lows:
(a) Collect all loose particles with a vacuum cleaner.
(b) For spots not easy to remove, you can use a soft-bristle brush.
(c) Remove spots from the fabric and be careful not to soak the seat
upholstery. See Table 301.
(d) If necessary, remove the upholstery to do the cleaning procedure.
(2) To clean the seat cover and curtains with their removal, do as follows:
(a) Apply a matching-type Velcro tape to all Velcro tapes to prevent dam-
age during the cleaning.
(b) Use a polyethylene spatula and a lint-free cloth to lightly clean the
area.
(c) Prepare the carpet cleaning solution.
NOTE:
Follow the manufacture's instructions.
(d) Apply it lightly to the surface with a soft-bristle brush.
(e) Repeat the operation until the surface is fully clean.
(f) Fully dry the surface with a lint-free cloth.
(g) Make the area moist with a cleaning solution. Use the treatments
given in Table 301 to soak the area to remove dirty spots.
NOTE:
• Use the manufacture's instructions
• Use the same order of treatment as given in Table 301.
(h) While the surface is wet, use a polyethylene spatula lightly on the dirty
area.
(i) After the removal of the spots, let the cleaned area dry.
(j) Clean the area with a vacuum cleaner to complete the cleaning.
(k) Turn the seat cover inside out.
(l) Dry-clean it with a mixture of solvent MIL-PRF-680 Type I or equiva-
lent, neutral detergent, and cold water. The solution must be in the pro-
portion indicated by the detergent manufacturer and the temperature
must not be higher than 22°C (72°F).
NOTE:
The solution must be cold and the water contents must not
be of more than 8% to prevent the cover from becoming
shorter.
(m) Dry the cover at a temperature not higher than 55°C (130°F).
