OPERATION AT 120 M (400 FT) FROM THE AIRCRAFT.
THIS IS TO PREVENT A FIRE OR EXPLOSION.
• MAKE SURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS PARKED AT
RAMP LEVEL AND INTO THE WIND.
• DO NOT REFUEL THE AIRCRAFT IF THERE IS AN
OVERHEAT INDICATION IN THE AIRCRAFT.
• DO NOT FILL OR CHANGE THE OXYGEN BOTTLE
DURING THE REFUELING PROCEDURES.
• PREVENT FUEL SPILLAGE. IF FUEL SPILLAGE
OCCURS, CLEAN THE AREA IMMEDIATELY.
• WHEN YOU REFUEL THE AIRCRAFT, MAKE SURE
THAT THE FUEL QUANTITY UNIT IS CORRECT. AN
INCORRECT READING OF THE FUEL QUANTITY CAN
CAUSE AN AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT.
• MAKE SURE THAT THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE TANKS IS
SYMMETRICAL AFTER THE REFUELING OPERATION
IS COMPLETE.
• STOP THE REFUELING PROCEDURE WHEN THERE
ARE THUNDERSTORMS OR LIGHTNING AT A
DISTANCE OF LESS THAN 16 KM (10 MILES).
(1) Obey these safety precautions and warnings when you do the servicing
procedures in the fuel system.
