6.2.3. Gradient
Here can ge set possibilities of gradient functions.
6.2.3.1. Gradient Cycles
Here can be set number of cam cycles of the pump, necessary for one gradient mixing cycle.
Default setting is
AUTOMATIC
, when can be used one cycle with flowrate up to 2.5 ml/min, two
cycles with flowrates from 2.5 up to 5.0 ml/min and 4 cycles for flowrates over 5.0 ml/min.
Note:
From firmware version
(FW) 5.x
–
one cycle with flowrate up to 1.5 ml/min, two
cycles with flowrates from 1.5 up to 4 ml/min and 4 cycles for flowrates over
4.0 ml/min.
6.2.3.2. Valves Used
In this menu item can be marked valves used for gradient. Minimal number of used valves
are two. In default setting are used all valves.
6.2.3.3. Auto Valves Closing
Here can be set possibilities of auto gradient valves closing after unit start and during every
pump stopping. Possibilities of setting are ENABLE (auto valves closing is enabled) or
DISABLE
(auto valves closing is disabled). Default setting is
ENABLE
, after pump start is one of the valves
automatically opened according to setting of used valves (see

Unit enables to change this setting also manually (see
), but after repeated pump start
and stop valves automatically close according to setting in this menu item.
6.2.4. Compensation
In each submenu can be set possibilities of pulsation compensation function.
6.2.4.1. Compensation Selection
Here can be selected desired mode of pulsation compensation. On main screen is displayed
a mark according to selected choice (see

Setting
Description
OFF
Compensation is turned off. Motor runs steadily independently of pressure.
Warnings about exceeding pulsation limit are not active. Default value.
FIXED
Compensation works on predefined run of pump rotation speed. Warnings
about exceeding pulsation limit are active.
LEARNED
Compensation works on learned pump run. Warnings about exceeding
pulsation limit are active. Learning process is trying to find optimal curve of
pump rotation speed, so that pulsation meets the condition set in
Menu/Preferences/Compensation/Pressure pulsation limit
. Pump learning
must be started in
Menu/Control/Start compens. learning.
