Self-Tests
Self-test diagnostic programs reside permanently in your system’s read-
only memory (ROM). You can run self-tests from the console terminal.
After running each self-test, enter the command TEST 50 or T 50 and
press
Return
to display the status of the device tested.
To test a device in your system:
1. Use Table 6–2 to find the number or letter that represents the device
you want to test.
NOTE
The halt button halts the system.
2. Put the system in
console mode
by pressing the halt button on the
rear of the system unit. Use a pen or a small pointed object to press
the button.

3. Enter TEST (or the letter T) and the number or letter of the test:
