Troubleshooting the Standard Ethernet Connection
If you found problems when verifying the standard Ethernet connection,
perform the following steps:
1. Make sure the loopback connector is securely connected to the system.
If you are connected to an active Ethernet segment, you can test the
system without the loopback connector.
2. Turn your system off, then turn it on again. The system verifies the
Ethernet connection during the power-up sequence.
3. After you check all Ethernet connections, retest the Ethernet
subsystem. Enter the following command at the console prompt:
