2 Planning a cordless communications network
The vertical antenna characteristic pattern of the
directional antennae used by DeTeWe indicates
that it makes sense to point the antenna downwards
to supplement the down-tilt obtained purely by the
electrical characteristics (see figure 2.20).
Note:
If you are using directional antennae, then
these should be tilted downwards (angle between
0˚ and 30˚ from the horizontal) in order to achieve
a better field coverage at the PPs’ operating height.
