Omnidirectional antennae make sense if FPs are to be installed along the centre of the build-
ing. Thus, the installation shown in figure 2.7 is to be preferred, as it uses only two FPs, but
employs directional antennae.
Note:
FPs using omnidirectional antennae should not be installed on outside walls as a part
of the radio field will not be outside of the usable area.
Exceptions: a customer requests coverage outside of a building (e.g. to include a parking
lot), in which case installing FPs on an outside wall makes sense.
