5–12 AUDIO SYSTEM* (RADIO, CASSETTE AND CD PLAYER)
Fader Control :
Fader control is used to adjust the volume
of the front and rear speakers.
1. Select the fader control mode using the
audio mode selector knob(2).
2. When "FAD" indicator appears on the
L.C.D., rotate volume control knob (1)
clockwise to decrease the volume of
rear speakers. The fader level signal will
change from "F1" up to "F15".
3. To decrease the volume of the front
speakers, rotate volume control knob
(1) counterclockwise.
The fader level signal will change from
"R1" up to "R15".
4. When the fader level signal "0" appears
on the L.C.D., the equivalent volume of
front and rear speakers is heard.
5. After adjusting, the signal will return to
the original condition 5 seconds later.
RADIO OPERATION
1. Press the power button (1) to turn the
audio system on.
2. Press the "RADIO" button (10) to select
the desired band.
Band changes as follows ;
3. Tune in the desired station using tuning
up/down buttons (for manual or seek
tuning), preset buttons or preset scan
button.
4. To turn the radio on while the cassette
is operating, eject the tape.
The radio is turned on.
How to Tune in the Desired Station
Seek Tuning :
To quickly search for next receivable lower
station, press the tuning down button (
)
for more than 0.5 second.
To quickly search for next receivable higher
station, press the tuning up button (
) for
more than 0.5 second.
Manual Tuning :
Press the tuning up (
) or down (
)
button (5) for less than 0.5 second to in-
crease or decrease the frequency. The fre-
quency of AM band changes 9kHz (or 5kHz
or 10kHz) each time, the frequency of LW
band changes 1kHz and the frequency of
FM band changes 50kHz (or 100kHz or
200kHz) each time.
Using Preset Buttons :
To select the desired preset station stored
on the preset buttons, press the correspond-
ing preset button for less than 2 seconds.
NOTE
Audio system can be operated when
the ignition key is at "ACC" or "ON"
position.
