LAP BELT
A lap belt is installed in the center of the rear
seat.
Insert the metal latch plate into the buckle until
it locks.
To lengthen, hold the metal latch plate at right
angles to the belt and pull on the belt.
To shorten, pull the free end of the belt away
from the metal latch plate, then pull the belt
clip to take up the slack.
Position the lap belt low on the hips.
To remove the belt, depress the red button
on the buckle.
The buckle and metal latch plate of the cen-
ter rear lap belt are identified by the "CEN-
TER" mark. Be sure to check the marking be-
fore wearing the center rear lap belt.
The metal latch plate of center rear lap belt
can be fastened only into the buckle of cen-
ter rear lap belt buckle.

Improper use of seat belt could cause
injuries.
• Do not wear the shoulder portion
of seat belt under the arm.
• Shoulder belt should be positioned
midway over the shoulder-never
across the neck.
• Lap belt should be fitted snugly
around the hips, not the waist.
To remove the belt, depress the red push-
button on the buckle. The belt will retract
automatically.
