Setting the Time Zone
The time zone parameter adjusts the system date, and optionally the time, by applying an offset to
UTC.
To set the time zone, use the following command:
set timezone zone-name {-hours [minutes]}
The zone name can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters long, with no spaces. The hours parameter
specifies the number of hours to add to or subtract from UTC. Use a minus sign (-) in front of the hour
value to subtract the hours from UTC.
To set the time zone to PST (Pacific Standard Time), type the following command:
DWS-1008#
set timezone PST -8
Timezone is set to ‘PST’, offset from UTC is -8:0 hours.
Displaying the Time Zone
To display the time zone, use the following command:
show timezone
For example, to display the time zone, type the following command:
DWS-1008#
show timezone
Timezone set to ‘PST’, offset from UTC is -8 hours
Clearing the Time Zone
To clear the time zone, use the following command:
clear timezone
