Remove the rivets and thermostat.

Thermostat Rivets (Outside of Hose Duct Adapter)

Attach the new thermostat to the hose duct adapter as follows (
):
a.
From the inside of the hose duct adapter, insert the terminal side of the ther-
mostat through the hole in the duct adapter.
b.
Line up the thermostat mounting holes with the holes in the duct adapter.
c.
From the inside of the duct adapter, insert a plastic rivet in each of the mount-
ing holes.
d.
Lock each rivet in place by pressing on the center locking pin until it is flush
with the surface of the rivet head.
