Set the inputs for the COM port (see Table 7-2. ).
For additional information about using HyperTerminal™*, select the Help menu in HyperTermi-
nal™*.
Capturing Data Output Using HyperTerminal™*
Data can be captured and stored on the PC using HyperTerminal™*. When the INVOS™ system is
operating in Run function, data can be output in real-time or case history formats. When the
INVOS™ system is operating in Case archive function, the data is output in case history format. To
capture and store the data:
1.
On the PC, open the HyperTerminal™* program via the INVOS™ system terminal icon.
2.
Select TRANSFER and CAPTURE TEXT. In the CAPTURE TEXT window, enter the file name and directory
to save the file.

Select START.
4.
On the INVOS™ system, select operating mode and data output format (see below).
5.
On the PC, when monitoring is complete, select CALL, DISCONNECT, and close HyperTerminal™*.
In Run Function—Real-Time Data Output
Once the INVOS™ system components and the PC are connected, the INVOS™ Monitor is on and

data is trending, press the HOME key to display the Main screen and perform the fol-
lowing navigation bar options to begin interfacing:
