CALIBRATION (CAL) MODE
•
Mode to perform leak calibration, DPS calibration, and No-leak tests.
•
Press the SHIFT key in Measurement mode to display
SFt
on the leak rate indicator and then press the
CAL./COMP. key to enter calibration mode. Each time the RIGHT

Measure equivalent internal volume to obtain a volumetric leak rate mL/min for leak rate unit .
Although normally Leak Master is used for the Leak Calibration, volumetric variable Leak Calibrator can be
used as well (See Section 4.2.
9.1.1 Preparation
1) Connect a master and a known non-leaking part.
2) Prepare a Leak Master or a Leak Calibrator. (See Section 9.1.4
3) Unlock the keyboard.
4) Press the MAN/REM key to enter manual mode.
5) Set the test pressure and a test pressure upper and lower limits.
6) Set stage timers and HI and LO leak rate limits.
9.1.2 Sampling drift value
Prior to the leak calibration, run a leak test in a non-leaking condition to sample a drift value that to be used
as a compensation value in leak calibration. The Master-Preset feature may be turned ON or OFF.
<Operation>
1) Put sealing plugs on both CAL ports.
2) Run a leak test in normal Measurement mode.
3) Verify that the leak data is sufficiently small. If leak rate is rather large, the settings are inappropriate.
