Periodic inspections help maintain test accuracy and prevent failures. Please perform inspections
described in this chapter.

Turn on the power of the tester at least 5 minutes before inspection for a warm-up.
a) Check the oil mist separators and filter (Start-up check).
Drain any accumulated water and wash the filter if dirty or dusty.
Check whether there is water or oil around the exhaust port.
b) Check the test pressure. Regulator must be set at correct pressure (Start-up check).
c) Check all test parameters, confirm they have not been accidentally changed (Start-up check).
d) Check the No-Go judgement performance.
Run a leak test using a Leak Master or a known leaking part.

e) Check the DPS span (See Section 9.3
f) Check the test PS offset
g) Check the test PS span
Water, oil, or other contaminants entering the leak tester through the air
source causes the largest majority of breakdowns in the leak tester. If
contaminants are found in the oil mist separator, it is strongly
recommended to install an air dryer or additional in-line filters.
If water or oil contaminates the leak tester, cleaning the pneumatic circuit
by overhauling and DPS replacement the will be required.
