4)  CAL then

vE

will appear on the leak rate indicator, and the calculated equivalent internal volume will be

displayed on the leak limit indicator in unit of L.  The displayed value will blink.

5)  Pressing  the  ENTER  key  clears  the display  of the equivalent internal  volume and displays  the

volumetric leak rate on the LO limit indicator.    This value represents leak rate Q, in unit mL/min, under

the atmospheric pressure corresponding to the volume change to be given (

V).  Calculate the value

of Q using the equation above and enter the Leak rate with the

UP and DOWN

 keys.  Pressing

the SHIFT key moves the current setting digit to left.

6)  Press the ENTER key to complete entry.

Press the RIGHT

key for 1 second or longer to view the drift value on the leak rate indicator for

verification.

7)  Press the START key to run a leak test.
8)  When the leak test enters the DET stag, immediately turn the dial of the Leak Calibrator to generate

volume change.  The differential pressure caused by the volume change is compensated by the

pre-measured drift value and the equivalent internal volume is displayed on the leak rate indicator after

sampling is completed.

9)  Press the STOP key to change the leak unit to mL/min and return to Measurement mode.

9.1.5  Go/No Go judgement during leak calibration

1)  Tester makes large leak judgement if the leak rate exceeds ±1000 Pa (or ±300 Pa as selected with a

memory switch) during DL2 stage.

Tester also makes No-Go judgement if the leak rate exceeds ±1000 Pa during the BAL stage or the

compensated leak rate exceeds ±1000 Pa in the DET stage.

2)  An error,

E-7

, is displayed if the leak rate exceeds the full scale of the A/D converter.

<Operation>

1)  Press the SHIFT key in Measurement mode to display

SFt

 on the leak indicator.

2)  Press the CAL./COMP. key.

When you press the RIGHT

 key,

oFS

will appear on the leak rate indicator, and the DPS output will

be displayed on the HI and LO leak limit indicators.  This is the output under atmosphere.

If the equivalent internal volume is known, the

UP and DOWN

 keys allow

manual entry.  To enter an equivalent internal volume manually, press the

ENTER key and then press the STOP key to return to Measurement mode to

exit the setup.

NOTE

If the DPS reading exceeds 30 % of the full scale of the display, it can be

provisionally adjusted by turning its ZERO volume.  If this measure does

not work, DPS may be contaminated.    Contact manufacturer in such case.

CAUTION

Never touch the SPAN volume.
