8 COMPENSATION MODE (MASTER-PRESET)
8.1.2 Sampling by manual operation
<Operation>
Press the START key.
The sampling process proceeds in the following sequence:

DET(1) is the DET stage in a normal leak test. Measured value during this stage includes true leakage and
drift. During STB the tested part and the master are re-pressurized and pneumatically equalized to let the
internal pressure stabilized until drift ceases.
<Stages>
1) CHG stage
After START key is pressed, the leak limit indicators
remains blank until at the end of CHG stage.
2) BAL (1) and DET (1) stages
The current differential pressure value is displayed on
the HI leak limit indicator during BAL (1) and DET (1)
stages.
3) STB stage
Stb
appears on the leak rate indicator, and the
measured differential pressure value during DET (1) on
the HI leak limit indicator is held.
4) BAL (2) and DET (2) stages
PrE
appears again on the leak rate indicator, the
differential pressure value during DET (1) shifts to the
LO leak limit indicator, and the differential pressure
value during DET (2) is displayed on HI leak limit
indicator during the BAL and DET stages.
5) When the DET (2) stage times out, the limit setting
indicator HI displays the Master-Preset value. Press
the
◄
LEFT key for longer than 1 second to display the
differential pressure of DET(1) on the leak rate
indicator, or press the RIGHT
►
key for longer than 1
second to display the differential pressure of DET(2) on
the leak rate indicator.
6) Press the STOP key to return to the Measurement
mode.
Press the ENTER key to manually edit a Master-Preset
value or sample Master-Preset value again. The leak
tester will return to the initial state of compensation
mode, with the entry digit positing of the Master-Preset
value blinking.
The setting of BAL(2) is same as that of BAL(1). The setting of DET(2) is
same as that of DET(1). BAL(2) and DET(2) cannot be set.
NOTE
Master-Preset value can also be manually entered with
▲
UP and DOWN
▼
keys.
Pressing the SHIFT key to move the setting digit to the left. Hold the
▲
UP or
DOWN
▼
key depressed to increase or decrease the number continuously.
NOTE
The tester transmits the [Clamp] and [Busy] signals in the Charge Delay (DL1)
stage. To use these signals in order to drive clamp fittings, adjust the timer for
this stage so that the tester moves to the Charge stage after clamping is
completed.
