9 CALIBRATION (CAL) MODE
9.1.3 Leak calibration using a Leak Master
Obtain an equivalent internal volume using a Leak Master.
<Operation>
1) Connect the Leak Master to the WORK CAL. PORT-side CAL port.
2) Press the SHIFT key to display
SFt
on the leak rate indicator.
3) Press the CAL./COMP. key.
4) CAL then
vE
will appear on the leak rate indicator, and the calculated equivalent internal volume will be
displayed on the leak limit indicator in unit of L. The displayed will blink.
5) When the ENTER key is pressed, the internal equivalent volume disappears. Input the value of Leak
Master to the Leak rate LO limit indicator using the
▲UP
and
DOWN▼
keys. Note that unless the
keyboard lock is unlocked, the value cannot be input. The unit is mL/min. By the SHIFT key, the
decimal point can be shifted
.
6) Press the ENTER key to complete entry.
7) Press the START key to start sampling the differential pressure.
8) After sampling process, the tester compensates the sampled differential pressure by the pre-measured
drift value and displays the value on the leak rate indicator as an equivalent internal volume.
The pre-measured drift value can be viewed on the leak rate indicator by pressing the RIGHT

key for
1 second or longer.
9) Press the STOP key to change the unit to mL/min and return to Measurement mode.
9.1.4 Leak calibration using a volumetric-variable Leak Calibrator
Obtain an equivalent internal volume using a Leak Calibrator (LC Series). Convert the measured volume
change into a volumetric leak rate in mL/min. (See Section 4.2 b
Where:
Q:
Value to input in mL/min (Leak rate corresponding to the volume
change)
∆
V:
Volume change (mL)
P:
Test pressure (kPa)
T:
DET timer
<Operation>
1) Connect a Leak Calibrator to the WORK CAL PORT-side CAL port.
2) Press the SHIFT key to display SFt on the leak rate indicator.
3) Press the CAL./COMP. key.

manual entry. To enter an equivalent internal volume manually, press the
ENTER key and then press the STOP key to return to Measurement mode to
exit the setup.
NOTE
If the values on the limit setting indicators are blinking, set them again.
NOTE
The DPS raw output can be viewed on the leak rate indicator by pressing the

key for 1 second or longer while in Measurement mode, This
function is handy when you need to know the differential pressure while the
leak unit is in mL/min.
