3. Electrical connection

EN
Electrical connection see point (D) in
Connection plan.
3.1
Implementation
•
The electrical connection must be
carried out in accordance with the local
power supply company regulations, as
well as the current EU regulations by a
qualified electrician. Note the
information in this Installation Manual
and on the nameplate.
•
Before connection, compare the data
on the nameplate
with that of the
house supply and the wiring diagram
.
•
The nameplate
is located on the left
side of the unit on the front lower part of
the front piece and also in the electrical
connection area.
•
An all-pole isolation switch with a
minimum contact opening of 3mm must
be located close to the unit so that the
unit power supply can be shut off for
outer cleaning, repairs or installation
work and longer intervals between
operation.
•
The unit must have an equipotential.
(Connection underneath the unit: see
point (E) in connection plan).
•
In accordance with the latest
installation regulations, the unit is
protected against residual current using
circuit breakers with an applicable
current rating. No other additional user
is allowed on the same fuse protection
as CONVOTHERM combi steamer.
•
The main terminals are behind the
removable left side wall in the service
connection area.
Before opening the side panel and
performing repairs and/or maintenance
work (
only by an electrician
), shut off
the main power supply on site to the
combi steamer!
•
The wiring diagram and the spare part
list are in the service connection area of
the unit
.
•
Check that all cable connections in the
electrical connection area are tight
before putting the unit into operation.
They can
loosen during transport.
•
The mains cable must be oil resistant,
encased and flexible, not lighter than a
normal polychloroprene (or other
comparable synthetic) elastomer
encasing wire marked 60245 IEC 57.
•
The electrical cable is used as strain
relief and must be tight. A special
phase relation doesn’t have to be
considered.
•
In factory testing, the unit had a
leakage current under < 5 mA
(EN 60335-1:2002).
•
If connecting the Electric combi
steamer on an energy optimization
system via a floating contact (i.e.
Sicotronic), the following measures
must be taken:
–
Terminals (B) and (C) are the
outputs of a floating contact from the
controls for the kitchen process
control technology (signal contact
closed
unit is turned on).
–
If the energy optimization system
connection between the terminals
(B) and (C) is interrrupted, the unit
switches over to the energy saving
mode.
–
The jumper between terminals (B)
and (C) must be removed to
connect an energy optimization
system.
–
Do not connect external voltage in
the unit.
–
For energy saving mode, note:
- minimum on time 8 min
- maximum off period 30 sec.
- Increases in the heat-up times
and cooking times can occur!
