Using Telnet over an Ethernet Interface
Telnet provides a method of connecting to the Command Line Interface over an IP
network.
To establish a telnet session from the command prompt, perform the following
steps:
STEP 1
Click Start, then select All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt to open a
command prompt.

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
STEP 2
At the prompt, enter telnet 1<IP address of switch>, then press Enter.
