DLP-A397 Manually Route a Path Protection Circuit for a Topology Upgrade
Step 1
In the Circuit Routing Preferences area of the Unprotected to UPSR page, uncheck
Route Automatically
.
Step 2
Click
Next
. In the Route Review and Edit area, node icons appear for you to route the circuit. The circuit
source node is selected. Green arrows pointing from the source node to other network nodes indicate
spans that are available for routing the circuit.
Step 3
Click
Finish
.
Step 4
Return to your originating procedure (NTP).
DLP-A398 Automatically Route a Path Protection Circuit for a Topology Upgrade
Step 1
In the Circuit Routing Preferences area of the Unprotected to UPSR page, check
Route Automatically
.
Step 2
Two options are available; choose either, both, or none based on your preferences.
•
Review Route Before Creation—Check this check box if you want to review and edit the circuit
route before the circuit is created.
•
VT-DS3 Mapped Conversion—(STS circuits only.) Check this check box to create a circuit using
the portless transmultiplexing interface of the DS3XM-12 card.
Purpose
This task creates a manually routed USPR circuit during a conversion
from an unprotected point-to-point or linear add/drop multiplexer
(ADM) system to a path protection.
