In the Select Applicable Nodes area, uncheck any nodes where you do not want to apply the changes.

In the Security Policy Change Results dialog box, confirm that the changes are correct, then click
OK

Return to your originating procedure (NTP).

Step 1
In node view, click the
Provisioning
>
SNMP
tabs.
Step 2
Select a trap from the
Trap Destinations
area.

.
Step 3
Highlight the Destination row field entry under the Community column and change the entry to another
valid community name.
Note
The community name is a form of authentication and access control. The community name
assigned to the ONS 15454 is case-sensitive and must match the community name of the network
management system.
Note
The default UDP port for SNMP is 162.
Step 4
Set the Trap Version field to either
SNMPv1
or
SNMPv2
.
Refer to your network management system (NMS) documentation to determine whether to use SNMP
v1 or v2.
Step 5
If you want the SNMP agent to accept SNMP SET requests on certain MIBs, click the
Allow SNMP Sets
check box. If this box is not checked, SET requests are rejected.
Step 6
If you want to set up the SNMP proxy feature to allow network management, message reporting, and
performance statistic retrieval across ONS firewalls, click the
Enable SNMP Proxy
check box located
on the SNMP tab.
Step 7
Click
Apply
.
Purpose
This task modifies the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) trap
destinations on an ONS 15454 including community name, default User
Datagram Protocol (UDP) port, SNMP trap version, and maximum traps
per second.
