vlan group
To create or modify a VLAN group, use the
vlan group
command in global configuration mode. To remove
a VLAN list from the VLAN group, use the
no
form of this command.
vlan group group-name vlan-list vlan-list
no vlan group group-name vlan-list vlan-list
Syntax Description
Name of the VLAN group. The group name may contain up to 32 characters and
must begin with a letter.
group-name
Specifies one or more VLANs to be added to the VLAN group. The
vlan-list
argument can be a single VLAN ID, a list of VLAN IDs, or VLAN ID range.
Multiple entries are separated by a hyphen (-) or a comma (,).

Usage Guidelines
If the named VLAN group does not exist, the
vlan group
command creates the group and maps the specified
VLAN list to the group. If the named VLAN group exists, the specified VLAN list is mapped to the group.
The
no
form of the
vlan group
command removes the specified VLAN list from the VLAN group. When
you remove the last VLAN from the VLAN group, the VLAN group is deleted.
A maximum of 100 VLAN groups can be configured, and a maximum of 4094 VLANs can be mapped to a
VLAN group.
Examples
This example shows how to map VLANs 7 through 9 and 11 to a VLAN group:

vlan group group1 vlan-list 7-9,11
This example shows how to remove VLAN 7 from the VLAN group:
Device(config)#
no vlan group group1 vlan-list 7
