Fan Pack (Intake - Fans 5, 6, 7 and 8)
Use caution when working in and around fan assemblies. Fingers can get
caught in fan blades.
The fan pack is located directly behind the air fil-
ter on the front of the projector and consists of
four fans. If one fan fails, the entire fan pack must
be changed.
(Estimated Replacement Time: 12 minutes)
1. Remove the top lid. Refer to
5.5.5 Top Lid, on
page 5-7
.
2. Remove the high security lid. Refer to
5.5.6
High Security Lid, on page 5-7
.
3. Remove the air filter cover and filter. Refer to
5.5.1 Air Filter Cover, on page 5-5
.
4. Disconnect the four fan power harnesses via
the inline connectors (
Figure 5-63
). For
details, refer to the
Interconnect Drawing
.
5. Pull the plunger located in the high security
compartment to release the fan pack. Refer to
Figure 5-54
.
6. Remove the fan pack.
7. Reverse the above steps to reinstall.
NOTE:
Use needle nose pliers to pull the
rubber isolators through the fan mounting
holes.
