Set 802.1x Transparent port, which can be connected with authenticated switch on superior layer, so the EAPOL message
coming from client end can be transparent there.
Chapter 6 Out-of-Band Management
6.1 Introduction
Out-of-Band Management manages the Swith locally through the console port,without occupying the bandwidth.Through
TELNET you can realize remote login to manage the Swith.Though TELNET and Out-of-Band have different presentation,their
management contents are same-Both of them are to configure the Swith’s characters.
6.2 Out-of-Band Connection
Out-of-Band Management needs a terminal or a Hyper Terminal, Windows system just have the Hyper Terminal.
First, connect the swith’s console port (at the left of the switch’s backboard) with the PC’s console port by the console card.
Then run the Hyper Terminal.Refer to the following figure to configure the Hyper Terminal.
