I. OPERATION
CHI Panel Controls and Indicators
The CHI panel is the heart of the operation of
the King Edge spreader/feeder.
Panel Display (A)
Shows current operating information (e.g.
speed and item count), fault messages, and, in
programming or adjustment mode, selectable
functions. Some of these messages are abbreviated
due to space constraints. Within this bulletin display
messages and CHI Panel markings are shown
and referred to as they actually appear. When
necessary, abbreviations will be explained.
STATION buttons (B)
Allows for automatic operation using preset or
user programmed values. The appropriate lamp
lights to show the currently selected station. Also,
turns spread/feed functions on or off.
When the panel display shows,
FEEDER OFF
the unit continues to run but will not accept
flatwork.
CHI SELECT button (C)
Enables the CORNER GRAB DELAY for
fine-tuning corner size.
SPEED buttons (D)
Controls the speed of the unit in manual
mode. Pressing
decreases the speed and
increases the speed. The speed is shown in the
panel display.
BYPASS ON/OFF button (E)
Used to turn the bypass conveyor on and
off. Use the bypass conveyor for feeding small
pieces.
CURSOR button (F)
Moves the flashing underline to the desired
selection.
PROGRAMMING buttons (G)
Used in programming, adjusting or testing
the unit. These include the ADJUST, CD, TEST,
ENTER, +, and – buttons.
