Because all of the large pulleys are the same
size, the laydown assist and front by-pass ribbon
drive rolls turn at the same speed.
Also, because the rear by-pass ribbon drive
roll sprocket is slightly smaller than the front
by-pass ribbon drive roll sprocket, the rear drive
roll turns slightly faster, causing the small pieces
to stretch slightly as they travel down the by-pass
ribbons.
5.4 Sequence of Operation
The unit has 6 phases of operation. In addition,
it will react to various error conditions.
